The word "pentimento" in Italian strictly speaking means repentance or regret. |

Many people respond warmly to my camera and I have enjoyed the brief connection that is established between us. |

 Malabar Coast
Filled with canals, rice paddies, and fishing villages. The people are remarkably beautiful and fully literate. |
 The Zhoushan Islands of China
These islands, south of Shanghai, provide a major base for Chinese fisheries, and also include Putuo, an important Buddhist center. |

A lovely pastoral valley, tranquil and away from madding crowds. |

This Website will, I hope, serve several purposes. At one level, I would like to earn some cash to help feed my habit of taking pictures and cover some of the costs of travel.
I also wish to show my photos to people who share my particular sense of harmony and composition. The photos on the site please me, but will certainly not please everyone. I have had enough experience in juried shows to realize that one person's pleasure may be another person's pain (or feeling of indifference).
I would be less than honest if I did not admit that the website is also a means for gratifying my ego, not only in demonstrating my "art" but also in displaying the extensiveness of my travels to all parts of the world.
All the images in these galleries are available for viewing and purchase. More galleries will be added as they become available. Within the "Places" gallery, these may include: Italy and its various parts; Morocco and Senegal; the Maryland Eastern Shore; and Southeast Asia.
